Our Wedding Photos: Just Us

Before I start with the photos I just want to go ahead and thank our photographer Christopher Moody one more time. I've known Chris for a while now, since he used to date one of my best friends Janelle. I've visited him when he was at school in Savannah and come across him in my many trips to Nashville as well, and he has always by such a kind and genuine friend to me and Keith. He did us such a huge favor by coming down to Florida for the wedding and capturing every moment of our wedding weekend and we were so happy to have him there celebrating with us. Visit his website for sure, and check out all the amazing stuff that he does.

Here are some of the shots that he took of just Keith and I just after the ceremony.

Keith had decided that he didn't want to see me in my dress at all before I walked down the aisle at our ceremony. He thought it would be really cute to have Chris take our photo on either side on the bridal suite door though just as we were getting ready for the wedding to start. I was just glad that after running late getting my hair done and feeling a little stressed that I could hold his hand and say "see you in a couple minutes :)"

And then here are a few from before the ceremony, in our dressing room and my shoot with Chris.

(as a small side note to friends and family that may want copies of these photos: these that I posted are very low res versions of the actual files, if you do what to get prints made of anything PLEASE don't save these images here, contact me and I'll let you know how you can get the files from our photographer)

Bummer

To be completely honest: I'm not having the best day. I woke up excited that I could FINALLY share all our wedding photos with the internet just to find that our external hard drive had bit the dust along with every photo I've taken for the past 6 years. I know, I know. I'm being dramatic and Keith is going to take it to a data recovery place to try and recover everything, but still it is SUCH a bummer to feel like you've lost so many incredible memories. I definitely have not ever had any luck with external hard drives in my life and would LOVE to swear off using them forever (please please please can I have a brand new imac with lots and lots of space?!??!) Last summer I had the wonderful pleasure of losing my entire music library ugh. Anyway, in order to cope with my recent loss and our current cold and gloomy weather I decided that it was about time to put the down comforter in our pretty duvet cover. My poor husband unfortunately loves and nice firm bed, and thankfully puts up with my unnecessary need to feel like I'm sleeping on a cloud with our down mattress pad, and abundance of feathery pillows. I don't think he's going to be able to fight the comforter though, its just so soft and fluffy! Theo is already in love, he's burrowed himself underneath like a little bed bug and doesn't seem to be in a hurry to come out.

Thankfully our wedding photos are no where near being lost, our photographer Chris sent us all the files so if need be I can download them all again. I thankfully had them uploaded on a site already with the intentions of getting them printed this week, so I can share them with you today. When we get the hard drive situation sorted out I'll put them up on facebook as well.

To my husband: Thank you so much for loving me the way you do. Thank you for not freaking out when I texted you while you were at work telling you to call me immediately. Thank you for putting up with me crying on the phone to you about a bunch of lost pictures and files and thank you for calmly telling me you would take care of it and I that I don't need to worry. You're the best and I love you more than anything.

Slap chop!

Keith and I totally buy into informercials that claim to make every
part of your life easier, and even though we rarely buy the products,
we're always tempted to haha. Something we've been craving for awhile
now is the slap chop! One of our favorite meals is chicken chili, but
all the prep that goes into slicing and dicing veggies is the worst
and makes us not want to make it very often. Enter: SLAP CHOP! One of
the greater wedding gifts that we received haha we're just testing it
out now, and so far so good! I give it an A+ for making my husband
more eager to cook me dinner haha

I wish...

...that job applications and cover letters would write themselves.

...that cookies would bake themselves so that I could eat eat eat eat eat them!

...that our new diet didn't make me want to eat cookies 24/7 haha.

...that we could go on another honeymoon asap.

...that fall weather was here to stay, but that winter would stay away.

...that we had visitors!! Our house is so clean and nice right now that I need someone to show it off to that isn't Keith or Theo. Hint hint. COME VISIT US!!!

...that my interview tomorrow would go really well and so that I could stop feeling like a bum at home all day waiting!

Wish me luck! Hopefully tomorrow things will go well and then I can celebrate by sharing some of our wedding photos! That's right, we have wedding photos and we're so excited to share them with everyone. Especially all the ones from the reception... that was quite a dance party haha

A random collection

Happy Labor Day! I'm currently hanging with Aly watching the Jersey Shore and playing with her puppy while our boys are away at the Phillies/Marlins game. Life is good today haha

Here is a photo from our most recent date night. Before we went out to dinner we sat on the stoop for a little bit and enjoyed some wine in the perfectly cool weather. We had SUCH a nice night, which was very necessary after the long and frustrating day that I had on Saturday.

These are from yesterday's ultimate cleaning day. Since it was SOOOO nice out Keith and I took a lunch break and got burritos and milkshakes downtown. Cleaning day seemed to take FOREVER, but everything is so organized and clean now and I feel like I can breathe again haha I don't ever want to have to clean that throughly again though... ugh.

And now introducing... DANTE! Dan and Aly's adorable new puppy. Since the girls weren't invited to baseball today we're hanging close to home and enjoying the day off together. When the guys get back our friends Tim and Gillian are coming over and we're going to BBQ a little bit. Aly and I took Dante with us this afternoon to get some lunch at a nice sidewalk cafe. We had some yummy sandwiches and enjoyed all the attention that Dante brought. He was so cute and laid so nicely under our table and came out to sniff other dogs and say hi to little kids. I wish that I could take Theo out with me to public places... he would love it haha

Happy wife

Keith brought me home some fresh cut flowers from the farmers market
last night because he knew I wanted to fill up my pretty new vase :-)
then he poured me a glass of wine and took me on a romantic dinner
date. Great start to the long weekend! Now... it's the ultimate
cleaning day, top to bottom, nothing missed. My mission is to empty
every closet and purg/rearrange to fit all the wedding gifts we
acquired and haven't put away yet. Today just happens to be one of the
most beautiful days I've ever encountered though... low 70s, no
humidity, not a cloud in the sky. All I want to do is lay in the park
and take naps in the sun. That's my motivation to finish very very
quickly! Hope everyone is having an awesome Sunday... what are your
Labor Day plans?

These are a few...

... of my favorite things. September 4, 2010.

1). Law and Order SVU. I just can't get enough! Thank you Netflix for pushing my procrastination to new heights.

2). My new stress free life adventure! Although being unemployed and job searching isn't what I call great fun, but I feel happier and more content with life each and every day than I ever have before. Job interview on Wednesday, wish me luck!!

3). This AMAZING weather. Thank you hurricane Earl for relieving us from that terrible heat. As much as I disliked this past Winter, I'm pretty darn excited for Fall.

4). Katy Perry's new single, Teenage Dream. Awful, truly awful I know... but again, I just can't get enough haha

5). Long "weekends" with Keith. He gets home in just a few minutes and then we have Sunday and Monday off together. Looking forward to enjoying some of this great weather (and lots and lots of house cleaning ugh).

Yessssssssssssssssssss.

Impromptu picnic

My husband knows that it makes me very sad when we have no time to hang out before he heads to work for the entire day. This morning he woke me up a little earlier than I would have liked to so that we could get some dishes done and enjoy coffee together while watching our favorite morning game shows (Lets Make A Deal and the Price Is Right!). We lounged around and played with Theo and then we headed out to grab some Wawa hoagies and sit in the park before he left me for the day. We were pretty skeptical of Wawa when we first moved here since it closely resembles a 7-11 or other gas station convenience store. When we talked to locals they always raved about the food, but personally I never even considered eating more than a bag of chips or candy from a gas station. We finally got curious and actually had one of their sandwiches and now we're hooked haha Wawa is WAYYYY more than a gas station convenience store... they make all kinds of fresh sandwiches, including hot subs and even paninis (do I sound like a Wawa ad yet? haha).

Anyway, even though we didn't have much time in the park, it was great to get out of the house for a little bit, and share a picnic lunch with each other. When we eventually move out of PA we're definitely going to miss Wawa. Mmmmmmmm.

Disposable cameras

Here are a few shots that I just scanned from the disposable cameras we had at our reception tables. I'll also be posting all of them on facebook in a minute if you're itching to see more: link. There are still SOOO many of them that I want to share though!! I only had the patience to scan about 40 of them, but there are about 200 photos that you will have to come over to my house to look at haha. We are so in love with every photo that we've seen so far from the wedding, it's becoming very hard to put together albums because I just want them all haha

All I can think about when I see these pictures is: WE ALL HAD SOOOOO MUCH FUN! Love it.

Cuteness

I saw this commercial last night and even though I have no interest in owning a Blackberry anytime soon, I thought it was adorable. Why can't life be more like an amusement park all the time? Very creative.

Hello September!

So we celebrated the first of September with a quick trip in the Nation's Capital. Our time in DC is always too short, but it's definitely worthwhile to spend time with good friends. Marty made the drive SOOO easily! Last night when we were coming home I hardly even noticed the trip. Keith and I never even turned on the music, and spent our whole drive just talking, and before we knew it we were 10 minutes from home. I'm pretty excited to take some longer road trips in the future. Cleveland? Boston? Florida? Lets do it!

Before we left on Tuesday I spent the afternoon at school with our friend Darlene. She is a 5th grade teacher, and I've been helping her to get her classroom ready for school to start next week. I've spent a couple days in her room helping to make bulletin boards, hang posters, and generally organize all of her things. I also painted a large lighthouse mural that we hung in the corner of her room that is dedicated to her reading library. It turned out MUCH better than I thought it would... I haven't painted anything in years haha but there are still a few things that I want to tweek the next time I go and visit her room. I was a little rushed getting out of there Tuesday afternoon since I needed to pick up Keith to get on the road.

Thankfully, Darlene was happy with the final product.

After I finished and hung my masterpiece, I got Keith and we hit the road to test out our new car and our new GPS. Since it was about 4:30 when we started driving and Philly/DC are known for terrible traffic we set the GPS to avoid toll roads in hopes of avoiding some of the major traffic on 95. We ended up making great time, tolls or not and the traffic wasn't an issue. Once we arrived in DC we put Andi, Kate and Kirby into our car and immediately drove to Good Stuff to feed our very hungry bellies. Yum yum yum, we're obsessed with their burgers, rosemary fries, chipotle mayo, and amazing milkshakes.

I stole a taste or two of Kate's shake.

Andi loves fries.

This was Kirby's first taste of Good Stuff, but this definitely looks like the face of a happy customer.

Thank you husband for being weird in pictures, always haha

After eating way too much to be comfortable we went back to their house and hung on the couch looking at the disposable camera photos from our wedding reception that I brought to share. (Hopefully I'll have the motivation to scan some of those soon, there are some definite gems haha). Wednesday we woke up pretty early and Keith and Andi made Anna Kate and I a fabulous breakfast. French toast, bacon, cheesy eggs, sausage, OJ and coffee... so good. We lounged around for most of the day watching America's Next Top Model, and then Anchor Man. Our original lunch plan had to be changed due to the hostage situation at the Discovery Channel building (grumble grumble... all we wanted was Chick-fil-a!) so after much deliberation we ended up at Chipotle, which definitely hit the spot.

Walking to the restaurant from the car.

After lunch we went back to the house and Keith and I packed the car up to head home. Before we left we took this awesome "family photo" though.

And then they tried to chase after our car as we drove away haha

I'm so excited for all that September has to offer for us. There is a lot of uncertainty in our life right now, but for once I'm not stressed or anxious about any of it. I cannot wait to see where this month will lead us, and we're enjoying everything that comes our way.
