This year for Thanksgiving we decided to try something a little different... in years past we've found one way or another to spend that weekend with family, but this time around we knew that we would be seeing both sets of parents near Christmas. It was then decided that we would take a breather over Thanksgiving break and just rest at home in Nashville for those few days off. As much as it was different to not see our families, it was a very welcomed chance to just catch up and relax, and SLEEP and just be the two of us for a bit. When our good friends Carolyn and Isaac found out that we weren't going to be eating dinner with anyone they kindly asked if we would like to join their family for their dinner, which really made the day feel a little more "home-y". We felt lots of love at our home away from "home" on Thanksgiving and can't thank the Negley's enough for that! Who knows what the holidays are going to look like in the future, but now we know that if we have to (or choose to) stay home for Thanksgiving, it's definitely not the end of the world! (thanks for being patient parents haha). and of course, I have some past Thanksgiving posts
