Bed Bath and Beyondddd

We got a really awesome engagement present from my aunt/godmother last week (BB&B gift card!) so we ventured out last night to make use of it. We have a pretty scarce amount of things here at the apartment and we manage to live very comfortably so this was a special treat, a little splurge. It was a little overwhelming when we got there and saw all the pretty nice things we could get but in the end we decided on new pillows! Which doesn't seem too exciting at first but last night we slept like little angels, therefore solidifying the great decision it was to get fluffy new pillows mmmm

We also got Theo a travel cat carrier so that he can go on his first trip to the District of Colombia next weekend to meet his cool big brother Spooky! We hope he doesn't totally freak out :( I'm slightly nervous but really really happy to get out of town for a few days (and to try on wedding dresses!!)

In the spirit of splurging (and not wanting to cook dinner after a long night of shopping) we went out to dinner at our favorite local spot Machismo. Local burritos are the best.

Our little part of the city is very magical at night. We kinda like it here :)

  1. I am all about this post. Being able to be frilly with shopping on someone elses money (aka giftcards) is really the best.

I'm going to make it up to Philly sometime this year after I graduate. That is a motherfucking promise.

  2. After the wedding we got to spend $200+ worth of Target gift cards and it was awesome. I feel like I will never have to buy anything for the house again. Well...maybe until we end up buying a real house...but that's a ways down the road.

P.S. I love the little lights on that street! I'm hoping to convince Andrew to make some short weekend trips once it warms up. We'll have to put Philly on the list!

  3. To you both: Please come and visit us! As I'm sure that our blog will reflect we will be painting our apartment soon so it will actually be suitably cute for visiters haha Our neighborhood is really really adorable and we would love to have someone to come and explore with us.
